Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is Rose?

Rose is an AI-powered website agent that engages your visitors in real-time conversations. It answers questions about your products, qualifies leads, and guides buyers toward conversion — all without human intervention.

What languages does Rose support?

Rose responds in the language configured for the visited page, regardless of the language the visitor writes in. You set the default language in your Configuration.

Does Rose work on mobile?

Yes. The widget is fully responsive. You can control whether it appears on mobile devices yourself in the Traffic Control settings.

Widget & Installation

Why isn't the widget showing on my site?

Common causes:

  • Traffic control — The widget may be set to a limited rollout percentage. See Traffic Control.
  • URL exclusions — The page URL might match an exclusion pattern in your settings.
  • Content Security Policy — Your CSP headers may be blocking the widget. See Content Security Policy.
  • Installation — The widget script may not be correctly installed. See Installation.

Can I control which pages show the widget?

Yes. In Settings > Display Rules, you can set URL exclusion patterns to hide the widget on specific pages, or use "display only on" patterns to restrict it to certain pages. See Traffic Control for more details.

Can I style the widget to match my brand?

You can set your brand's primary color in Settings > Appearance. The widget buttons, links, and accents will use this color. The overall widget layout is designed for consistency and usability, so structural customization is limited.

Conversations & AI

How does Rose know about my products?

Rose uses your website content as its knowledge base. We index your site pages, documentation, and any additional content you provide. The AI retrieves relevant information in real-time to answer visitor questions accurately.

What happens when Rose doesn't know the answer?

Rose is designed to only answer questions it has information about. If a question is outside its knowledge, it will say so and suggest the visitor contact your team directly rather than making something up.

Can I see what Rose is saying to visitors?

Yes. All conversations are available in the backoffice under Conversations. You can review transcripts, see engagement metrics, and search by session ID or message content.

The chatbot gave a wrong answer. What should I do?

Report it using the support form. See Reporting a Problem for step-by-step instructions. The fastest way is to open the conversation in the backoffice and click the flag icon.

Analytics & Data

What analytics does Rose provide?

The backoffice dashboard shows engagement rate, visitor counts, conversation metrics, and topic analysis. You can filter by date range and domain.

How does Rose identify companies?

Rose uses IP-based enrichment to identify the visitor's company before they start chatting. This data appears in the Visitors and Accounts sections of the backoffice.

Does Rose comply with GDPR?

Rose processes visitor data in accordance with GDPR. The widget displays a disclaimer to visitors, and all data is stored in EU data centers. Contact your account manager for details about data processing agreements.

Integrations

Can Rose send leads to my CRM?

Yes. Rose integrates with HubSpot for lead syncing. Your account manager can set up the connection. Other CRM integrations can be configured via webhooks and workflow automation.

Can I track Rose events in Google Analytics?

Yes. Rose supports event forwarding to Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Segment, and other analytics tools. See Event Forwarding for setup instructions.

Troubleshooting

The widget loads but conversations aren't working

Check your browser's developer console for errors. Common causes include network issues, CSP restrictions, or API connectivity problems. If the issue persists, report the problem with the browser console output.

Changes I made in the backoffice aren't showing up

Configuration changes are typically applied within a few minutes. Try clearing your browser cache or opening the page in an incognito window. Some changes (like traffic control) may require coordination with your account manager.

I can't log in to the backoffice

Contact your Rose account manager to verify your user account is active. Login is via magic link — check your spam folder if you don't receive the email.
